Phyllis is a Clinical Psychologist with a PhD. Her doctoral research focused on establishing an optimal profile for corporate leaders by integrating insights from Psychology, Physiology, and Neurology. The study examined the roles of personality, emotional intelligence (EQ), and spiritual intelligence (SQ) among corporate leaders in South Africa. This was achieved through assessments of CEOs and executives across various industries.

Key findings of the study included:

  • A distinct personality profile is strongly associated with effective leadership.
  • There is a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence (EQ) and spiritual intelligence (SQ).
  • Certain brain structures that facilitate EQ also play a role in enabling SQ.
  • Optimal leadership is most likely achieved through a combination of Personality, EQ, and SQ.

With over 25 years of experience in psychology, Phyllis specializes in team effectiveness facilitation, neuro-coaching using Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) techniques, and brief-term psychotherapy. She has also served as an advisor to senior and executive leadership.
